Aug 1919 - after months of cloak-and-dagger intrigue, the Coca-Cola Company was taken public in what as at that time the largest transaction in the history of the South. The deal was brokered by Eugene W. Stetson [S&B 1934] of Guaranty Trust Company of New York. Importantly none of the shares had voting rights. Control of Coca Cola rested with the President, the owner of a small Atlanta Bank which bought a large stake (Ernest Woodruff) and Eugene Stetson [S&B 1934].[3]
Organised the H. Smith Richardson Foundation, which participated in MK-ULTRA, a secret CIA domestic psychological-warefare operation, and helped to finance the testing of psychotropic drugs, including LSD, at Bridgewater Hosptial in Massachusetts in the 1950’s.[2]
