Harvey Russell Wellman (Rhodes 1937)

Lawyer. Rhodes Scholar, Brasenose College, University of Oxford.

After his retirement from the Foreign Service in 1974, he became deputy executive director to the United Nations Fund for Drug Abuse Control in Geneva and Vienna, a post he held until 1978, when he retired to Old Saybrook.[4]

1970 - Special Assistant to the Secretary of State for narcotics matters in Washington. Secretary of State, William P Rogers (Sigma Chi. Order of the Coif) by President Richard Nixon (Bohemian). [4][5]

1960 to 1961 - Counsellor of Political Affairs at the American Embassy in Havana, Cuba to Ambassador Philip W. Bonsal (Yale). Secretary of State Livingston T. Merchant by President Dwight D. Eisenhower.[7]
