1940, 1944, 1948 and 1952 - Republican National Conventions.[3]

1936 - Unsuccessfully candiate for re-election.[3]

3 Nov 1931 to 3 Jan 1937 - Member of the U.S House of Representatives from Ohio’s 1st district.[3]

Preceded by Death of Nicholas Longworth (Delta Kappa Epsilon, Alpha Chapter / Procellian Club). Succeeded by Joseph A. Dixon.

1931 - Hollister filled the seat of Nicholas Lonworth (Delta Kappa Epsilon (Alpha Chapter) and Porcellian Club) who died unexpectedly on 9 Apr 1931 from pneumonia whilst visiting his friend Dwight Filley Davis (1916 to 1917 - Rockefeller War Relief Board. Served Calvin Coolidge and Herbert Hoover. Sworn in with William Howard Taft (S&B 1878) Davis died 28 Nov 1945, Age 66 after a six month illness.)

Dwight Filley Davis’s daughter married British Ambassador to the United States Sir Roger Makins (Christ Church Oxford, Bar, Inner Temple, Joint Perm Secretary to the Treasury and Chairman of the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority)
