Henry Choate Ordway (S&B 1880)

Had since been engaged in trust services; had lived in Winchester since 1885; treasurer of Home for the Aged; Member board of investment of Winchester Savings Bank, Water and Sewer Board, and church committee of First Congregational Church.[4]
WW1 - during World War served on all Liberty and Victory Loan committees of the town.[4]
Made treasurer of firm when business was incorporated as the Butts & Ordway Company and served as such until 1898.[4]
1885 to 1888 - with J. F. Bumpstead & Company, importers of paper hangings, of Boston.[4]
20 Oct 1885 - Married Fanny Haines, daughter of the Rev. Henry Martyn Scudder (B.A. New York University, honorary M.D. 1853, D.D Rutgers 1859) and Fanny (Lewis) Scudder, and sister of John L. Scudder, ‘74, and Doremus Scudder (S&B 1880). Children: Philip Scudder (B A. 1908, M A. 1909); Elizabeth Irving; Kathenne Lewis, Oberlin ex-‘14, who married the Rev. Fletcher D. Parker (B.A. Williams 1911, B D Hartford Theological Seminary 1915), and Helen Frances (B.A. Mount Holyoke 1916, M.A. Brown 1919) (died in 1924).[4]
Engaged in iron, steel, and heavy hardware business as member of firm of Butts & Ordway of Boston.[4]
1882 to 1885 - Associated with his father in business in Hampstead.[4] During that time served as justice of the peace.[4]
1882 - LL.B Columbia. Soon afterwards admitted to New York Bar, but never practiced law.[4]
1880 - Graduated Yale, Skull and Bones Patriarch.[1]
Died 31 Oct 1926, from Arteriosclerosis. Age 70.[4]
