Morgan Robertson

American Author of short stories and novels.

Authored Primordial I Three Laws and the Golden Rule, which was credited for the contribution to The Blue Lagoon.

Robertson and Henry De Vere Stacpoole writings influenced Burroughs in his creation of Tarzan of the Apes.

1914 - Published new version of Futility, describing a future war between the united States and the Empire of Japan, containing a sneak attack by Japan on U.S. ships enroute to the Philippines and Hawaii.

1905 - Published, The Submarine Destroyer.

1898 - Published ‘The Wreck of the Titan’. (@ 37yrs old) … The story and it’s details had a stricking simularity to RMS Titanic.

Became a writer, placing his work in McClure’s and the Saturday Evening Post. Enjoyed the company of artists and writers in a small ciricle of New York’s bohemia.

10 years - worked as a diamond setter (Jewelry)

1866 to 1899 - Cabin Boy and merchant service, rising to first mate.

Died 24 Mar 1915. Found in his room at the Alamac Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Believed to have died of an overdose of paraldehyde. Age 53.
