Norman James (S&B 1890)

Directors Citizen’s National Bank, Safe Deposit and Trust Co, Savings Bank of Baltimore.[2]

Mr James was a book collector and had built up a library on sport, natural history, and early Americana, his collection of Currier and Ives prints was one of the finest in the country, member St. Paul’s Church (Episcopal), Baltimore.[4]

Director Safe Deposit & Trust Company, the Savings Bank of Baltimore, the Consolidated Gas & Electric Company, the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, Louisville & Nashville Railroad, and the Atlantic Coast Line Company of Connecticut.[4]

Member Baltimore branch Federal Reserve Bank for several terms.[4]

1913 - N W James & Co, Lumber Merchants, (Baltimore).[4]

8 Apr 1896 - Margie, daughter of Charles G. W. Macgill (M D University of Maryland 1856) and Louosia Thompson (McEndree) Macgill Children.

Since 1895, Member, Since 1913, President of the N W. James Lumber Company (later The James Lumber Company), Bainmore.[4]

Until 1895 - Associated with the Phosphate Manufacturing Company, Pon Pon, SC.[4]

1893 - Secretary, Central R’y Co, Baltimore.[2]

1891 - Became Secretary Baltimore Street Railway Company.[4]

1891 - Financial office of Henry James & Company.[4]

1890 to 1891 - Clerk Citizens’ National Bank of Baltimore.[4]

1890 - Graduated Yale, Skull and Bones Patriarch.[1]

Died 24 Jan 1939, after an illness of about a year. Age 70.[4]
