1920 to Death - Established himself in Woodstock, Vt. resuming the law practice, which he was actively engaged at the time of his death.[4]

30 Apr 1895, Married Alice H., daughter of Effingham and Harriet (Haight) Cock.[4]

Moved to Windsor, where he became engaged in literary pursuits, including the editing of his father’s speeches

1886 to 1904 - Joined Simpson, Thacher & Barnum [John W. Simpson, Amherst ‘71, Thomas Thacher, (S&B 1871), and William M Barnum (S&B 1877)]

1886 to 1904 - Lawyer in New York City.[4]

1881 - Graduated Yale, Skull and Bones Patriarch.[1]

Died 21 Oct 1922, from intestina trouble, following an operation. Age 63.[4]

Father, William Maxwell Evarts (S&B1837) - United States Secretary of State by President Rutherford B. Hayes.

Brother, Maxwell Evarts (S&B1884) - General Counsel for E.H. Harriman (Rail Roads) and father of W.A. Harriman (S&B1913) and E.R. Harriman (S&B1917).

Brother, Allan Wardner Evarts - supported the founding of Wolf’s Head and was first president of its Alumni association for 20 years.
