1912 - When Republican Convention failed to nominate Colonel Roosevelt for the presidency of the United States, Mr Woodruff withdrew and joined the Progressive party.
In 1900, he was a candidate for the Republican nomination as Vice-President of the United States. At the Republican National Convention in 1908 he nominated James S. Sherman for vice-president.
1897 to 1901 - Three terms as Lieutenant Governor of New York State to Governor, Frank S. Black (Freemason. Delta Kappa Epsilon), Theodore Roosevelt (Freemason. Delta Kappa Epsilon) and Benjamin Odell (Freemason).
1896 to 1908 - First President of the Adelphi College Board of Trustees.
1889 to 1890 - Elected to the New York Republican State Committee. Becoming chairman.
1888 - Elected delegate to the Republican National Convention which nominated Bejamin Harrison as President.
1879 - Graduated Yale, Skull and Bones Patriarch.
