WW2 - 1940 - Whitehouse (S&B 1905) flew to Europe to bring home his mother, then 88, who had been living in Paris for 20 years. [Germany invaded France on the 10 Apr 1940]

1933 to 1934 - U.S. Minister to Colombia by President Franklin D. Roosevelt (Freemason).[2]

1930 to 1933 - U.S. Minister to Guatemala by President Herbert Hoover (Bohemian).[2]

1928 to 1929 - Counselor of American Embassy in Madrid, Spain. Ambassador Irwin B. Laughlin S&K1893[5].[2]

1921 to 1928 - Counselor of American Embassy in Paris, France (Ambassador Myron T. Herrick, Political Protege Mark Hanna, who went to school with John D. Rockefeller Sr. Previously President for Society Bank, from 1894. Founded by Samuel H. Mather in 1849. Myron also delayed Bacon’s departure from France, resulting in him missing the Titanic. ).[2]

WW1 - 1916 to 1917 - First Secretary of the American Embassy in Petrograd, Russia.[2] Owned the car in which Alexander Kerensky head of the first Soviet provisional government fled Petrograd after he was overthrown in 1917.

WW1 - 1914 to 1916 - Secretary of American Legation in Athens, Greece.[2]

1909 to 1911 - American legation as Caracas, Venzuela.[7]

1905 - Graduated Yale, Skull and Bones Patriarch.[1]
