Aide to Union General William “Bull” Nelson during the Battle of Richmond (29 to 30, Aug 1862, Confederarte Vs Union), he carried him through the lines to Jessamine County.[4] General Injured in the Neck.

13 Jul 1866 to 9 Apr 1869 - 2nd Territorial Governor of Montana by President Andrew Johnson (Freemason).

Preceded by Thomas Francis Meagher (acting). Succeeded by James Mitchell Ashley.

4 Mar 1863 to 13 Jul 1866 - Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Kentucky’s 6th district. (President Abraham Lincoln)

27 Sept 1862 - General Nelson, was shot by fellow Union General C. Davis at the Galt House in Louisville, Kentucky.

1859 - Graduated Yale, Skull and Bones Patriarch.[1]

Died 1883, from Not Known. Age 45.
