Vice President of the United States at the time of JFK assassination. Freemason (30 Oct 1937 - Apprentice. Did not advance and not a full member of his lodge).

Nov 1973, three months before his death, Johnson was quoted in the San Francisco Chronicle as saying, “We’ve been running a damn Murder Inc. in the Caribbean.” This was two years before Sen. Church’s committee revealed the plots to assassinate foreign leaders. “Coincidentally,” Mae Brussell says, “Johnson died in the arms of a secret service agent Mike Howard, who in 1963 had been assigned to protect Marina Oswald after her husband was killed.”

22 Jan 1967 - Gus Grissom became outspoken about Apollo project technical difficulties and its chance to complete its fourteen-day mission[7,48]. Taking a lemon from his backyard tree he hung the lemon on the simulator [7,50][7,51] On 21 Jul 1961, Gus Crissoms’ capsule emergency bolts unexpectedly fired, flooding the capsule almost drowning him. Grisson stated afterwards ‘he had done nothing to cause the hatch to blow”, and no definitive explanation for the incident was found[7,27][7,33]

Johnson had demanded that he provide kicks in return for him agreeing to his life insurance policy. This included a $585 stero and $1,200 to KTBC for advertising, a television station owned by LBJ. Reynolds had paperwork for the transactions.

John Theodore McNaughton (Rhodes 1949)
Apr 1967 - This aid [soviet military aid] was confirmed by former Assistant Secretary of Defense John T. McNaughton, i.e. the Soviets supplied the “sophisticated equipment in the field of anti-aircraft defense.” Loss of 915 U.S. planes over North Vietnam between February 1965 (the date of the first U.S. air operations over North Vietnam) and the bombing halt of November 1, 1968 testify to the accuracy and utility of the Soviet equipment. After President Nixon (Bohemian) took office in Jan 1969 and expanded technical transfers, losses mounted a total of more than 4,000 U.S. aircraft by the end of 1972. [NOTE: McNaughton (Rhodes 1949), wife and son died in plane crash Jul 1967, shorty after the hearing on Apr 1967.
1964 - McNaughton and Schelling outlined the Vietnam bombing strategy, leading to the first phase of Operation Rolling Thunder (2 Mar 1965 to 31 Oct 1968).
1964 - Worked with Thomas Schelling (friend from Marshall Plan administration) whilst teaching at Harvard, Schelling was asked to work at the Department of Defense. Schelling instead nominated McNaughton promising to advise McNaughton on weapons and strategy, he becamse Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs.
